Ravens Vs. Bears Week 11 Betting Odds And Analysis

Two of the NFL’s most athletic quarterbacks clash Sunday as the Baltimore Ravens go to Chicago.

Former MVP Lamar Jackson travels to the Windy City to face Bears rookie QB Justin Fields. The Ravens are looking to right the ship after putting up 10 points on Thursday against the Miami Dolphins. The betting odds at most sportsbooks have the Ravens as 6-point favorites on the road against the Bears.

The Bears might be turning a corner. They nearly beat the Pittsburgh Steelers in their last game. The Bears are coming off of a bye week so they should be well prepared for the Ravens. Fields has been improving week-by-week and appears to be rounding into form.

Ravens’ Keys To Victory

The Ravens were shockingly upset by the Miami Dolphins as 8.5-point favorites last week. Their offense looked completely lost, and Jackson is being asked to do too much. Their offense is missing RB Latavius Murray and hasn’t looked the same since. RB Devonta Freeman is unable to lead this running back crew and RB Le’Veon Bell has next to nothing left in the tank.

Jackson is an incredible talent, but he needs some help at wide receiver. WR Marquise Brown has been excellent this season and needs to be fed the ball. Since Baltimore cannot rely on its running backs to make plays, it ruins Jackson’s ability to make an impact. The Ravens need to run plays designed for Brown and TE Mark Andrews.

Bears’ Keys To Victory

Head coach Matt Nagy has been made fun of for well over a year as the NFL’s worst coach. I am here to tell you that this is unfair and premature. Fields is legitimately turning a corner here, and Nagy deserves credit for it. Fields is finally using his legs as the incredible weapon that they are. He rushed for over 100 yards against the 49ers in week 8. He followed that with an impressive week 9 performance against the Steelers in which he ran for a touchdown and threw for a career-high 291 yards.

If Fields is for real, the Bears can easily compete for a victory this weekend. Their defense is plenty good enough to stop Jackson from gashing them with his legs. The problem is if Fields struggles to move the ball. This game could end up being a laugher if that happens.

Ravens vs. Bears Betting Recommendation

My immediate reaction is to bet the Bears with the point spread, however, 6.5 points isn’t enough for me. Should the line jump to 7, the Bears would absolutely be a worthy play.

The value I see here is on the total of 45.5 points. This is a bit too low so take the over. The Ravens and the Bears should be able to put up points. If the Bears get an extra half point as the week progresses, they are a worthy bet as well. The Ravens haven’t looked like a strong team in recent weeks.
