The Virginia Lottery has approved WynnBET as a legal online sports betting operator in the Commonwealth. The new WynnBet Virginia app will launch next week between Monday, March 8, and Friday, March 12, 2021.
Craig Billings, President of Wynn Resorts, which owns and operates WynnBET, expressed the company’s excitement over the new deal: “We appreciate the confidence the Virginia Lottery has in our ability to deliver a world-class, online betting experience for the people of the Commonwealth of Virginia.”
We at VirginiaCasinos.com called WynnBET personally to find out when exactly the app would launch. While they did not have a definitive date or time, the representative did say that the launch would happen sometime next week.
WynnBET Virginia Overview
As the Official Online Sportsbook of Martinsville Speedway and Richmond Raceway—as well as an authorized gaming operator of NASCAR—the app will host fan-focused auto racing bets that you likely can’t find elsewhere.
“We value our close relationship with NASCAR and look forward to creating a new and exciting online betting offering for NASCAR fans,” said Wynn President Craig Billings.
Unfortunately, WynnBET will not launch in Virginia in time for the Pennzoil 400 on March 7, 2021. But the app hosts a wide range of sports betting markets, including all major leagues, international contests, and NCAA games.
New members at WynnBET Sportsbook typically can have their first bet matched as a freebet up to $1,000. However, the app may offer something special for its Virginia launch.
Where Else Is WynnBET Available?
WynnBET is currently available in Michigan and Colorado via mobile app and web browser. It is also available in New Jersey via mobile app only.
The Wynn Las Vegas Race & Sports Book is available in Nevada, but is a separate entity to WynnBET. To join that version, you’ll need to register in-person at Wynn Las Vegas. WynnBET is not available in Nevada.
WynnBET has additional market access opportunities in Indiana, Iowa, and Tennessee, three states with legal online sports betting. Those launches are pending approval from state regulators.
The app could also launch in Massachusetts and Ohio. However, those two states would need to first legalize online sports betting, then the regulators would need to approve WynnBET.
