Virginia marks the twelfth state in which DraftKings is live with an online sportsbook.
DraftKings went live on Sunday just ahead of the conference championship games that saw the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Kansas City Chiefs win their way to Super Bowl LV.
“Just in time for Super Bowl LV, we are thrilled to bring the DraftKings sports betting experience to Virginia with an abundance of betting options for fans,” said Jason Robins, co-founder and CEO, DraftKings. “With our customer-first approach, we hope to be the sportsbook of choice for Virginians who enjoy having skin in the game.”
DraftKings Super Bowl Bonus
Thanks to its timely launch in the state, DraftKings is offering a Double Your Money bet on any team to score a touchdown in Super Bowl LV.
Beyond the big game bonus, DraftKings constantly offers a rotating selection of bonuses and promos for new players and existing users.
Virginia Online Sports Betting
Virginia’s sports betting scene is still very new, with only FanDuel and DraftKings currently live in the state. However, the market is expanding fast. The Virginia Lottery also approved BetMGM to go live in the state. Following the approval, BetMGM has yet to make any announcements about plans to go live in the Commonwealth.
Virginia is expected to be a high-performing market in the US. Players can bet on almost any sport in the state. The only limitation in the state’s regulations relates to college betting. In-state college games are off-limits, even if they are played outside of Virginia. This type of limitation is relatively common; Illinois, for example, has the same rules in place. Other than the college sports arena, however, Virginia bettors have a wealth of markets to choose from at the newly launched DraftKings sportsbook.
